R15 MM/MC phono preamp is designed to amplify with honest fidelity the delicate signal from any cartridge it is paired with.

Although housed in our compact three-quarter sized 15 series cabinetry, the same care and craft that informs the design of the larger and somewhat more capable R35 MM/MC phono preamplifier has informed the design of the R15, allowing all circuits to work sympathetically together for superior sound and greater fidelity. With sufficient gain to amplify the signal from virtually any moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridge, and very flexible input adjustment allows for ideal system matching.

The look and feel of Scandinavia
We believe that every aspect of our products – the way they look, the satisfying feel of the controls – contributes to the overall experience of living with Primare. As a result, Primare products exude the hallmarks of Scandinavian design – simple, elegant designs, with approachable and easy to understand functionality.
An example of this is the standby button discretely placed within the Primare logo on the faceplate of our R15, R35 and A35.2 models – or as we say lagom, not too much not too little, everything in balance, proportion, and harmony.

MM/MC Compatible With Adjustable Settings: The Primare R15 phono preamp is compatible with MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) phono cartridges. There is a switch on the back-panel that allows you to select between MM or MC. The R15 offers Resistance and Capacitance adjustments for a variety of MM and MC cartridges.

Stereo RCA Analog Inputs & Outputs: The Primare R15 is outfitted with stereo RCA analog inputs and outputs to connect your turntable and receiver or integrated amplifier. The Primare R15 features adjustable gain to amplify the signal from many moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridge,

• MM Gain (1kHz): 40 or 45dB
• MC Gain (1kHz): 60 or 65dB

Subsonic Filter: The Subsonic filter helps to reduce low-frequency rumble and wasted amplifier power. The Subsonic filter witch is located on the back-panel and can be turned on or off.

Isolated Power Supply: The phono preamp's fully isolated power supply allows its highly sensitive signal components to function in a noise free environment for superior performance, resulting in cleaner sound and greater fidelity.

Detachable AC Power Cord: The R15 phono preamplifier comes with a detachable 6' AC power that will need to be plugged into an AC power outlet or preferably a power line condition and surge protector (sold separately - see Accessories Tab).

Automatic Standby: The Primare R15 phono preamp will automatically go into standby mode if there is no audio signal present for approximately 20 minutes.

Trigger In/Out: For added convenience the R15 is outfitted with a 3.5mm Trigger input and 3.5mm Trigger output. The Trigger input allows the R35 to be powered on and off remotely and automatically from an integrated amplifier or receiver's Trigger output. The phono preamp's Trigger output can be used to daisy-chain other components that feature a Trigger input for automatic remote turn on and off.
