The Audiolab 7000A is an integrated stereo amplifier with 70W per channel output, a new DAC, a full-colour IPS LCD screen and much more. It is designed to be ergonomic, have high-quality engineering, and to provide you with a wide range of facilities, performance, and connectivity.
Class AB power
The 7000A has a discrete Class AB power amp stage which delivers 70W per channel into eight ohms, and for difficult loads a maximum current delivery of 9A amps. Superior linearity and excellent thermal stability is ensured with the output stage of the discrete power amp ciruits using a CFB topology. And the amp stays in firm control of the music with excellent dynamic range, helped by the 250VA toroidal transformer and the 4x15000uF reservoir capacity.
Multiple Sources
Cover all bases with high quality for all. For CD players and line-level sources you have dual analog inputs, for digital sources dual Coax and SPDIF inputs, and for wireless audio playback and smart devices you have a BLuetooth aptX receiver. Plus, the Audio Return Channel (ARC) connection allows for use with screens, and there is a direct-to-PC connection via USB.
Cutting-edge DAC
The 7000A's ESS ES9038Q2M chip reaffirms the integration and synergy standard with audiolab integrated amplifiers. It utilises both 32--bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator from ESS Technology. Plus, it has ultra-low noise and high dynamic range thanks to a post-DAC filter based on class A topology and its proprietary DC-coupled high-gain electronic amp.
Super streaming
The 7000A has full decoding of MQA - which is a hi-res streaming technology. What this means, is the 7000A does the complete 'three unfold' decoding process internally - instead of a final unfold in a final MQA 'renderer' - so it is great for premium audio streaming services such as Tidal.
Integrated Phono Solution
For moving magnet phono cartridges, the 7000A has an improved phono stage, with an improved high-quality, low noise MM Phono circuit, as well as precise RIAA equalisation. This is the same with its dedicated headphone output - which has current-feedback circuitry, gain bandwidth and a high slew rate, ensuring a dynamic, detailed and engaging performance.
Interface and graphics
The 7000A includes an improved display and GUI, so you can more easily visualise your settings. It can be set to show a VU meter in both 'analog' or 'digital' form. And the GUI also has settings for the digital phase lock loop of the D/C converter.
