KEF Muon Flagship Speaker draws on the expertise of Ross Lovegrove to transform the finest acoustic engineering into the ultimate loudspeaker form with build integrity.

It is sculpted from super-formed aluminium to produce a smooth-edged yet incredibly rigid shape using an evolutionary process to ensure it is perfectly suited to meet the purpose.

Technology

The powerful bass drivers grant superior bass reproduction and are complimented by key technologies driving the upper mid-range and treble such as Uni-Q driver array for seamless imaging across the entire listening area.

ACE (Acoustic Compliance Enhancement) effectively doubles available volume using activated carbon to adsorb air molecules. Muon has succeeded in setting a major benchmark in acoustic transparency.

Musical Form

Ross Lovegrove's polished aluminium design creates the ideal environment for the drivers to deliver seamless, open sound. The curvaceous form reminiscent of a torso breaks up the aesthetic cabinet mass while providing a smooth, immaculate surface to radiate a field of pure audio. The result is an unprecedented 3D presence.

Muon's 6mm thick aluminium shell grants a completely rigid structure for lowest sound-distorting vibrations. Strengthening braces and a damping-compound coating within makes the entire speaker fully inert even at loud volumes.

Uni-Q drive array

KEF's proprietary 'sit anywhere' Uni-Q driver positions the tweeter in the sonic core of the midrange cone creating a sole, focused source of sound that is widely and evenly dispersed across the room. The smooth curved cabinet boosts the benefits of Uni-Q by eliminating sharp edges that cause diffraction and blur image. This produces truly remarkable sound quality with no obvious "sweet spot" effect experienced anywhere in the listening environment.
